Meet the team working behind the scenes
Logan was born in Portland, Oregon and lived there until he moved to Utah to attend Brigham Young University. Logan enjoyed extensive travel during college, visiting eight different countries and working closely with their political leaders, news media, universities, and business owners. Through these experiences he discovered and developed his love for people, travel, and events. After earning hisdegree in Public Relations, Logan worked for a Utah-based PR firm managing several brands. Logan hit the ground running at Corporate Alliance in 2009 and became an owner in the company and President oft he Utah County hub one year later. He relocated to San Diego for nearly two years to help with the global expansion of Corporate Alliance. He returned to Utah in 2015 to become the company’s COO and marry the beautiful Ashley Masters. In January of 2019, Logan managed the sell of Corporate Alliance to Tribehouse and developed the new Brand and Vision for Truss. He is super excited about the new vision and direction of Truss. Logan loves his firecracker of a wife, his little boys Jack, Max, and Porter, traveling, golf, college football, basketball, music, theater, and food. He’s an avid BYU football and Portland Trail Blazer fan.
Jeff Rust is a true connector and uses his network and experience daily as a Partner of Truss. Prior to Truss, Jeff studied Russian and International Law and Diplomacy at Brigham Young University. He is married to his best friend, Anna, and they had 5 boys in 7 years. Then, after a 7 year gap, they added two little girls. He has served on a number of boards (Riverside Country Club, America’s Freedom Festival, National BYU Cougar Club President, Chairman of First Night Provo, Chairman of the Utah Valley Parade of Homes, United Way of Utah County and Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce).
Drew DeHaan has worked in the higher ed development and client management world for 10 years in various fundraising positions at the U of U and the American Diabetes Association. As she built relationships with alumni, corporations and foundations in UT, TX, NV, and MT, she found purpose in learning people’s stories, and helping them find opportunities to support a cause.
Thinking she wanted to work in nonprofits forever, she obtained a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the U of U. After becoming slightly jaded and looking for more life balance, she decided to make a change. In true Truss fashion, a former boss’s wife knew a neighbor, who was married to a member of Truss, who knew Logan and Jeff were looking for a Client Success team member.
When she’s not being an analytical matchmaker for C-level executives there’s a 99% chance she’s at Home Depot or remodeling her Sugarhouse home with her husband Reese. Drew loves to mountain bike, read, travel, scuba dive, cheer on the Utes, and operate power tools.
Sandy Ratto has worked with our company for over 12 years. She was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and did the finances for a printing company for 18 years. She enjoys being a team member at The Truss Group and providing financial reports and seeing the amazing growth. She loves to snow ski, swim, hike and play with her two little grandkids.
Maddi is the Communications & Marketing Director at Truss. She oversees logistics for events and communications. With a keen eye for detail and the designated family vacation planner since she was a young girl, it’s no wonder she loves her role at Truss crafting unforgettable experiences. After graduating from the University of Utah, Maddi began a successful career in the marketing and communications industry.
Outside of work, Maddi loves to explore the great outdoors. She’s an avid fly fisher, and enjoys foraging, floating the river and camping as much as possible. When not out in nature — Maddi can be found on the golf course, honing her lack of skill on the green. She resides in rural Utah with her husband Chandler, and their sons Kitt & Koy on their homestead, where they spend their free time cooking, baking bread and tending to chickens and their garden.
Mallory plays a key role as the Events & Communication Coordinator in driving events and communication at Truss, where she brings a thoughtful mix of creativity and practicality to every occasion. Growing up in a small town in Utah, Mallory’s journey took her to the University of Utah, where she earned a degree in Journalism and covered everything from baseball to volleyball for the Daily Utah Chronicle. Although her background in dance gave her experience in the spotlight, she’s comfortable working behind the scenes, ensuring every event runs smoothly.
Her career began at Topgolf, where she managed events in both Utah and Arizona, gaining valuable experience in handling diverse groups and creating memorable experiences. Now at Truss, Mallory’s attention to detail and effective communication contribute to the success of each event.
Outside of work, Mallory enjoys a variety of hobbies that keep her grounded and energized. She loves reading, staying active at the gym, playing pickleball, and perfecting her baking skills. In her downtime, she unwinds with her Nintendo Switch, indulges in reality TV marathons, and spends quality time with her family, friends, and her 3-pound Yorkie, Lola, who keeps everyone in line.
